Log Food Items & Track Nutrition in the Client App

As a client, you can easily add food items, track your calories and macros, and add recipes on the app. Follow these steps to log food items, whether you have an assigned meal plan or not:


1. Logging Food Items from an Assigned Meal Plan

If you have an assigned meal plan from your trainer, you can follow these steps to log the food items:

  1. Open the ‘Nutrition’ Section

    • Open the app and navigate to the ‘Nutrition’ section.

  2. Access the Meal Plan

    • Click on ‘Meal Plan’ below the Calories and Macros. The meal plan assigned by your trainer will be visible.

  3. Log Food Items

    • Click on the ‘+’ button beside any of the food items to select it. Click on ‘Save’ at the bottom of the screen to log it into the system.

  4. View Logged Items

    • Once done, you will see the logged items along with the total calories and macros at the top.


2. Logging Food Items Using the Food Database

If you don't have an assigned meal plan or have a macros-based meal plan, you can search the Food Database:

  1. Add a Food Item

    • Click on the ‘+ Add’ option beside any of the meal categories.

  2. Search for Food Items

    • Click on the ‘Search’ tab and search for the food item. Click on ‘Search “ “ in all foods’ to view all options with that food item.

  3. Select and Add the Food Item

    • Select the food item you wish to log. Nutrition details of the food item will be visible. Click on ‘Add’ to add the food item to the recent library.

  4. Log the Food Item

    • Click on ‘Add to [MEAL CATEGORY NAME]’ to log the item.


3. Adding Your Custom/Manual Food Items

You can also add your food items to the app:

  1. Add a Custom Food Item

    • Click on the ‘+ Add’ option beside any of the meal categories.

  2. Create a New Food Item

    • Click on the ‘+’ button on the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Enter Food Details

    • Add the details of the food item/recipe. Click on ‘Save’ at the bottom of the screen. The item will appear in the ‘My Food’ section.

  4. Log the Custom Food Item

    • Click on ‘Add to [MEAL NAME]’ to log the item.

  5. View Logged Items

    • Once done, you will see the logged items along with the total calories and macros at the top.


    4. Scan a Barcode to Add Food Items to Your Log

    You can easily scan the barcode of any food item to add it to your nutrition log on our app. Follow these steps:

    1. Access the 'Nutrition' Tile

    On the app's home page, tap the "Nutrition" tile.

    2. Add to a Meal Category

    Click on the "+Add Food" button below the Meal Category (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc.) you want to add the food item to.


    3. Open the Barcode Scanner

    Tap the "barcode scanner" icon located at the top right corner of the screen.

    4. Scan the Barcode

    Point your phone towards the barcode on the food item and wait for it to automatically recognize the item.


    5. Add the Item to Your Log

    Once the item is recognized, you will see it displayed on the screen. Tap the "Add" button, and then select "Add to Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner" to finalize the entry.
