Note: Fitbit is connected from the client app, not from the trainer’s FitBudd dashboard.
Before you begin make sure that:
Your Fitbit device is connected to and syncing with the Fitbit app.
You know the login details for the Fitbit account associated with your device.
The Fitbit and FitBudd client apps are updated to their latest available versions.
Your phone has an active internet connection.
Connect Fitbit on iOS
Open the FitBudd client app on your iPhone.
From the home page, tap the Connect Apple Health / Fitbit tile.
Select Fitbit.
Sign in to the Fitbit account connected to your device.
On the Fitbit permission screen, select Allow All.
Tap Allow to authorize the connection.
Return to the FitBudd client app.
On the home page, check the activity grids for information such as steps, move energy, distance, and flights.
You can also manage the connection by going to Profile > Connected Apps.
Connect Fitbit on Android
Open the FitBudd client app on your Android phone.
Go to Profile > Connected Apps.
Select Fitbit from the available wearable options.
Sign in to the Fitbit account connected to your device.
Review the requested permissions and allow FitBudd to access the supported activity data.
Complete the authorization and return to the FitBudd client app.
Open the home page and allow a short time for your activity information to synchronize.
Depending on the app version, you may also see a wearable connection tile on the home page. You can use that tile and select Fitbit to begin the same authorization process.
Disconnect or change the connected account
Open the FitBudd client app.
Go to Profile > Connected Apps.
Select the currently connected Fitbit integration.
Disconnect it.
Select Fitbit again and sign in with the account you want to use.
If Fitbit data is not syncing
Open the Fitbit app and confirm that the wearable has completed its latest sync.
Confirm that FitBudd is connected to the same Fitbit account used by the wearable.
Check that all requested Fitbit data permissions were allowed.
Make sure that your phone is connected to the internet.
Close and reopen both the Fitbit and FitBudd apps.
Go to Profile > Connected Apps, disconnect Fitbit, and connect it again.
If the issue continues, contact FitBudd Support with your phone model, operating-system version, FitBudd app version, and a screenshot of the issue.
