Meal Planner in Client App

The Meal Planner feature allows users to view meal plans assigned by their coach, customise them with additional food items, or build their own nutrition schedule from scratch using our extensive library.


1. Accessing the Meal Planner

To get started with tracking your nutrition, navigate to the Meal Planner from the home screen.

  • Step 1: On the App Home Page, scroll down to the "More" section.

  • Step 2: Tap on the Meal Planner option.


2. Viewing a Coach-Assigned Plan

If your coach has already assigned a nutrition plan, it will automatically appear in your weekly calendar view.

  • Step 1: Select the current date or any date in the calendar strip to view that day's plan.

  • Step 2: You will see two distinct tabs at the top of the screen:

    • Meal Plan: This tab is read-only. It displays the original, unaltered plan assigned specifically by your coach.

    • My Planner: This is your interactive daily view. It shows all items assigned by your coach plus any extra food items you choose to add manually. Use this tab to customize your day while staying within the framework of your coach's guidance.


3. Customising Your Meal Plan

Even with an assigned plan, you have the flexibility to log extra intake.

  • How to Add Items: In the My Planner tab, click the "Add Food" button under any meal category (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc.). Search the library and add your item (e.g., Quail Eggs).

  • Restoring the Original Plan: If you have made too many changes and wish to revert to the original plan assigned by your coach:

    1. Long-press or tap the options menu on the meal card.

    2. Select "Restore". This will wipe your manual additions and bring back the original coach-assigned items.

4. Planning Meals from Scratch (No Assigned Plan)

If you do not have a plan assigned by a coach for a specific day, you have two ways to plan your meals:

Option A: Manual "Add Food"

Directly build your day ingredient by ingredient.

  • Click on "Add Food" in any empty meal slot.

  • Search for specific items in the food library and add them to your day.

Option B: Using the Explore Library

Import a pre-built plan or schedule.

  • Step 1: Click the "+" icon on the bottom right or center of the empty planner screen.

  • Step 2: Browse the Explore Library. You will see options for "Meal Schedules" (e.g., 16:8 Fasting) or "Meal Plans" (e.g., Grocery Food based meal plan).

  • Step 3: Select a plan that fits your goal.


5. Scheduling & Repeating Plans

When selecting a plan from the Explore Library, you have flexible scheduling options to automate your planning:

  • Repeat this meal everyday: Select this to apply the chosen plan to every day of the week automatically.

  • Repeat on specific days: Choose this to manually toggle specific days (e.g., Mon, Wed, Fri) where this plan should apply.

  • Only on selected Date: Choose this for a one-off entry. The plan will apply only to the date currently selected and will not repeat.


Notes-

  1. Restoring Changes: Use the Restore button anytime you want to undo your manual customisations and return to the base plan.

  2. Meal Plan Rules: A meal plan assigned cannot be deleted or removed by the user. It can only be replaced by another plan or modified via the "My Planner" tab.
