Group Classes
We are excited to announce the launch of our new feature, "Group Classes", designed to enhance your training experience and provide greater flexibility in organizing and conducting classes. With this feature, you can create both one-time events and recurring classes, offering versatility to cater to different training needs. Additionally, you can conduct classes virtually, in person, or leverage a hybrid mode, ensuring adaptability to various preferences and circumstances.
Key Features:
Create One-Time Events or Recurring Classes:
Online, In-Person, or Hybrid Mode:
Embracing the evolving landscape of training delivery, Group Classes offer three distinct modes of conducting sessions:
Online: Conduct classes online, leveraging our integrated virtual classroom features to engage with participants remotely.
In-Person: Host classes at physical locations, providing an immersive learning environment for participants.
Hybrid: Combine virtual and in-person elements, allowing participants to choose their preferred mode of attendance based on convenience.
How to Create Group Class on Dashboard
Go to Live > Group Classes > Add a Group Class :
Fill in the Basic Info :
Frequency: "One-Time" or "Recurring": Choose whether the class is one-time or recurring. This is important information, as once you create it, it cannot be edited later.
Reference, Display Name, Image, Description: To inform clients about the class's content, you will need to provide a name, an image, and a brief description.
Mode of Conduct: You will decide whether the class is Online, In Person or Hybrid.
Type: If the class is of type Workshop / Bootcamp / Webinar / Group Workout etc.
Duration: Provide the duration of the class
Trainer: Choose the trainer who will be taking the class
Location: Location can be Online location, In-person Location or both, depending upon the mode of conduct and these can be configured from Live > Configuration which we will talk about later in the article.
The next step is to input the Scheduling details :
Fill in the "Start date" and "End date"
Session capacity: You must set a maximum capacity for the class to ensure that it does not exceed the space/resources available. In the case of a hybrid session, this session capacity will have two buffers—Online and in-person.
Waitlist capacity: If the capacity is filled, the clients will be added to the Waitlist. They may be allowed to join the class if someone from the confirmed list cancels. In the case of hybrid, this session waitlist will have two buffers - for Online & In-Person.
Set the Schedule: if the Class be at the same time on the selected days or at different times. Please note: you can choose multiple time slots for a single day.
Pricing & Access Control:
Choose who can access this class in terms of payment plans. We have four options to choose from:
Then, decide if you want the clients to purchase a single slot for this class. They won’t have to buy a plan and instead pay the single session price you specified to book a slot.
Fill in the Workout Info
Then, put some Additional Class Details, and you will be good to go.
Activating Group Class & Managing Participants
On the Class detail page, you will see two tabs, Details & Classes.
Details: This will show all the info that you just filled in. Below is the screenshot for the same.
Classes: This will show this class's list of upcoming slots info as per the defined schedule.
For the Classes to show upcoming slot info, you will need to activate the Class.
After activating the class, it will say “Preparing Class, will be visible soon” for some time as we prepare the results for you.
When you click on any slot or on the Class Details, a popup with the participants will appear. Here, you can add new participants, remove them, or allow the waitlisted ones to join the class.
When adding clients to a group class manually, make sure you check this checkbox. It asks if you want to deduct this booking from the client’s overall quota or add them for free. The quota is governed by the payment plans, which we will discuss later.
You can use this New class button to add any ad-hoc slot for this class.
CONFIGURATION
In Live > Configuration, you can adjust the settings for your Group Classes and 1-1 Classes. You can also add locations here.
Schedule Settings:
Define the settings, and decide when the clients can book or cancel. You can define the minimum time between two sessions, which would be some extra buffer time so that you can wrap up and prepare for the next session. Also, you can decide how far clients can see the schedule in the future.
Location Management:
You can add both online and Physical locations under this section.
Online Location:
For Online location, you can either input a custom link—which can be any link—"Google Meet", "Zoom link", "Teams link", "Skype link", etc.
Or you can connect your Zoom, select that in the location, and name it something that you may prefer. You can have only one Zoom account connected. You can add multiple Zoom meeting links using a custom link though.
Physical Location:
For physical location, you need to input the Studio name and at least one room. You can also input the map URL so the clients can follow that directly from the client app and Room capacity along with each room which will come in handy every time you select this in the location while creating a class.
SESSIONS PACKS
Now that you know all about Group classes, let’s talk about how you can monetize them by creating session packs.
Creating Session packs
Go to Payment Plans > Create New. Choose Session pack here from the popup in the first step. Fill in the basic details. Click Next.
Next choose Group Classes Pack and define which classes you want to give access to the clients on this payment plan. The clients on this plan can book any of the group classes as selected by the trainer. The quota, however, is defined in the next step.
You can define the quota here as the total number of sessions. And also define the validity.
Put in some info about the Plan inclusions and how it works.
You can add more Pricing options based on different quota and different pricing from the payment plan detail page.
NOTE: The Session packs pricing options are one-time purchases only and are No subscriptions. |
Membership Packs and Group Classes
If you want to sell your group classes along with your membership packs, you can do so by going to the video calling section of the plan and selecting which group classes you want the clients on this plan to have access to.
