How to "Add Custom Servings" to Food Items: Step-by-Step Guide

Adding custom servings to food items in your dashboard is a breeze. Follow these simple steps to personalize your nutrition information:

Step 1: Navigate to the Nutrition Section: Log in to your account and go to the dashboard. Locate the "Nutrition" section on the menu.

Step 2: Access Food Items: Under the "Nutrition" section, click on "Food Items."

Step 3: Select the Food Item to Edit: Browse through your list of food items and select the one you want to edit. Click on the chosen food item to open its details. You can also create a new food item or add it from the fitbudd food database by clicking on the blue + icon available at the bottom of the centre panel.

Step 4: Open Editing Options: Once you're on the food item's details page, locate the pencil icon in the top right corner. Click on the pencil icon to open the editing options.

Step 5: Add Custom Serving Size: A form will pop up on your screen after clicking on the edit icon. Scroll down to find the "Add Custom Serving" option. Click on "Add Custom Serving."

Step 6: Enter Custom Serving Details: Choose the serving name from the list of options (e.g., cup, bag, bar, etc.,). Enter the serving size equivalence. For example, if you selected "cup" and your unit system is metric, enter the serving size as "1 cup = 240 grams."

Step 7: Save Your Changes: Once you've entered the serving details, click on the "Done" button to save your changes.

NOTE: You have a variety of options to choose from, such as bag, bar, bottle, bowl, bunch, can, chip, clove, container, cube, cup, dash, drop, glass, half, large, medium, mini, pack, piece, pinch, portion, pouch, quarter, regular, scoop, serving, slice, small, stem, strip, tablet, tbsp, tsp, tin and whole. You can select the serving name that best fits your custom serving size.

Congratulations! You've successfully added a custom serving size to your food item. If you have more food items to edit, repeat these steps as needed.
