Custom Sub-Domain for your Fitbudd website

APPLIED ONLY FOR GOLD PLAN SUBSCRIBERS:

If you already own a domain and want to point a sub-domain of it to your existing Fitbudd website follow the instructions below. The instructions below use GoDaddy as an example, but similar steps apply to all Domain providers, if you have difficulty applying these instructions for your Domain provider please get in touch with us for updated instructions.

Part 1

In this part, you will be pointing your purchased domain to the Fitbudd infrastructure

  1. Login to your Domain Provider’s website and head over to the page that lists all your purchased domains (in GoDaddy it is the Domains page)

  2. Select the Domain you want to point to your Fitbudd website and choose the “Manage DNS” option (on GoDaddy you should land on a page that looks as shown below)

3. Select the “ADD” option and in the form that opens up:

a. Choose “Type” as A

b. Set “Host” (or “Name”) to the subdomain you want
(so if you want to map xyz.something.com then you’ll type just xyz here)

c. Set “Points to” to 54.235.131.162 and click “Save”
(for GoDaddy refer to the pic below)

4. Take a screenshot of this page after you’ve added the new entry. Provide this screenshot to us at support@fitbudd.com in Part 2 so we can verify that the entry is correct (on GoDaddy the screenshot would look something like the pic below)

Part 2

In this part, Fitbudd will generate security credentials for your new URL so customers can make payments on your website safely and securely.

  1. Reach out to us via mail: support@fitbudd.com or chat with us from your dashboard and provide us with the following:

    1. Name of the add subdomain that you mapped to Fitbudd infrastructure in Part 1

    2. The screenshot of the new mappings added in Part 1

  2. That’s it from your side 🎉. We’ll close the loop from our side within 24-48 hours issue security credentials for your new URL and get back to you.
