Link your PayPal account with your FitBudd dashboard.

Prerequisites

This process requires you to have a PayPal business account. You can check your current account status here: https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accountStatus.

Once you’ve confirmed your account is a PayPal business account proceed with the steps below.

Step 1: Get Started

Head over to https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications. Make sure to switch to the “Live” mode as shown below and click on the “Create App” button

Step 2: Create the App

Name the app “fitbudd” and proceed by clicking on “Create App” as shown below. Please make sure that the app name is in lower case letter only

Step 3: Copy the required info

Once the app gets created you should see a page showing the “Live API Credentials”. On this page click on the “Show” button under “Secret” and copy these three things - PayPal Account (which is essentially your email), Client ID and Secret as highlighted in the image below. You’ll need to provide all three of these to the FitBudd support team

Step 4: Connect the webhook

Webhook establishes a mode of connection through which Paypal sends payment events to Fitbudd. To configure the webhook, scroll down to the “Live Webhooks” section and click on “Add Webhook” button

In the form that shows up, under “Webhook URL” paste the unique webhook URL generated for you from the Paypal section of this page on Fitbudd Dashboard (if your account is still in trial, you can get the same URL from here on Beta)

Thereafter, under the “Event types” section enable the “All Events” box. Scroll down further to the end of all the check boxes and click on “Save” to finalize the webhook.

Step 5: Copy the webhook ID

Once you’ve saved the webhook, it should look like the picture below. Copy the “Webhook ID” shown here. It'll need to be shared with the Fitbudd team as well

Step 6:

Once the webhook is saved, scroll down further to the “Live App Settings” and enable the following and Click on “Save”:

  1. Accept payments

  2. Connect with PayPal (optional)

  3. Transaction Search

You can leave the rest of the settings as they are. In case you face the error “Oauth return URL is invalid”, you can add the URL of your website or your Instagram profile in the Oauth URL field.

Final Step: Share the details with Fitbudd

Once you go through the process above, share the 4 items with setup@fitbudd.com we’ll take care of the rest 👍🔥.

  1. PayPal Account: As copied in Step 3

  2. Client ID: As copied in Step 3

  3. Secret: As copied in Step 3

  4. Webhook ID: As copied in Step 5

  5. Webhook URL: As entered in Step 5
